To introduce the game of golf to every elementary / middle school child living with the boundaries of the Midwest Section PGA.
What is Snag-iN-School and Why Now?
The Midwest PGA "SNAG-iN-School" initiative is a program we have developed to grow the game of golf at a grass roots level. To accomplish our mission we believe we must go where the children are: schools.
In the past a number of challenges prevented golf organizations all over the world from developing an effictive school program. Most obvious was the use of traditional equipment in a gym environment making for a very dangerous situation.
SNAG (Starting New at Golf) has a curriculum that meets national physical education standards with golf equipment that is safe and developmental appropriate.
With PGA Professionals training PE teachers and our PGA Section Foundation providing the equipment, we can make golf a key component of our elementary and middle school curriculum.
