    Midwest Assistant PGA Professional Championship

AUSTIN HARDISON CAPTURES NATIONAL CAR RENTAL
MIDWEST ASSISTANT PGA PROFESSIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
 

BLUE SPRINGS, Mo.  –  Austin Hardison  of Excelsior Springs, Mo. won the National Car Rental Midwest Assistant PGA Professional Championship, Monday, August 27 at Mules National Golf Club in Warrensburg, Mo.

By winning, Hardison earned a berth in the 42nd National Car Rental Assistant PGA Professional Championship, November 15-18, at PGA Golf Club (Wanamaker Course) in Port St. Lucie, Florida. The facility will be hosting its twenty-third consecutive Assistant PGA Professional Championship.

Hardison, 23, posted a final-round 69 for a tournament total of 140 and a 5-stroke victory over Robert Russell of Overland Park, Ks.

The 132-member field for this year’s 42nd edition of the Assistant PGA Professional Championship consists of the top four finishers from last year’s championship, if eligible and assistants based on the average number of players in the last five years (using actual number of eligible players starting each Section’s Championship).

The winner of the 42nd National Car Rental Assistant PGA Professional Championship earns $12,000 out of a total purse of $133,000. The top 70 finishers and ties after the second round will advance to the final 36 holes.
